What does it cost?
MorrowTab is free. There is no paid tier or trial, and optional FixQuotes Sync is free too.
Do I need an account?
You do not need a MorrowTab account for Browser Sync. It uses the Chrome or Edge profile you are already signed into. If you choose FixQuotes Sync, you sign in with your email and a one-use code. Your boards upload after you review the transfer and choose Connect.
Does it change my search engine?
No. Browser default sends searches to the provider already set in Chrome or Edge. MorrowTab does not replace it. Extra search engines appear only if you add them.
Can I search my saved links?
Yes. Open Find saved links with the toolbar magnifier or Ctrl/Cmd + Shift + K. It searches titles, URLs and descriptions across all your links boards. Open a result or choose Show on board to jump to its original location. Queries stay on your computer, are cleared when you close the dialog, and are not added to web-search suggestions.
How much can I save?
Browser Sync allows up to 250 links within a 100 KB budget. FixQuotes Sync allows up to 5,000 links within 4 MB. Both support up to 30 boards, 120 columns overall, 40 columns per board, 200 links per column and 80 search engines. Settings shows how much space you are using.
What connects to the internet?
The daily quote requests fixquotes.com once per local day. Nature photos use api.fixquotes.com and images.pexels.com. Website icons send an eligible saved hostname to api.fixquotes.com. These features start enabled in a new sample setup; each can be turned off in Settings.
Calendar feeds and page titles are fetched from addresses you add, after you grant access to that site. Optional FixQuotes Sync sends sign-in requests and, after you connect, board data to api.fixquotes.com. There is no analytics. The privacy policy lists the requests and the data they contain.
Can it read the pages I browse?
The Quick Save popup reads the current tab's title and address when you open it. If you enable page-title fetching, the browser asks for access to each site.
MorrowTab also runs on Zoom recording pages at https://*.zoom.us/rec/* to show local video download links. It reads the recording title and video sources there, without saving them or sending them to FixQuotes. See page access in the privacy policy.
Is my data encrypted?
MorrowTab does not add end-to-end encryption. Browser Sync uses the browser provider's security. FixQuotes Sync uses HTTPS and stores a copy that its server operators can read. Avoid saving confidential information, including private calendar feed addresses. Exported backups are plain JSON, and local records can be read from the browser profile.
Can I export my boards?
Yes. Export a backup in Settings to save your boards, links, search engines and shared settings in a readable JSON file. You can import it again, or export just one column. Background images, saved search suggestions and cached images stay on their own computer and are left out of the backup.
Which browsers can I use?
Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge, version 114 or newer. There is currently no Firefox or Safari version.
