Terms of Use

1. About these terms

These terms apply to the MorrowTab browser extension for Chrome and Edge, this product website, and the optional FixQuotes Sync service for MorrowTab. FixQuotes is the publisher and is referred to here as “we” or “us”.

By installing or using MorrowTab, you agree to these terms to the extent permitted by applicable law. If you do not agree, stop using it and remove the extension. If you use it on behalf of an organisation, you must have authority to accept these terms for that organisation.

The Privacy Policy separately explains how data is handled, including network requests, storage, retention and deletion. These terms do not replace any consent or permission required by law or your browser.

2. Permission to use MorrowTab

We grant you a non-exclusive permission to install and use MorrowTab for personal or business purposes in accordance with these terms. MorrowTab and optional FixQuotes Sync are currently free, with no paid tier or trial. Any future paid offering would require separate information and your explicit agreement before a charge.

FixQuotes and its licensors retain their rights in the software, website and branding. Installing MorrowTab does not transfer ownership of those materials. Third-party materials, including photographs, quotes and icons, remain subject to their owners' rights and applicable licences. Nothing here limits permissions granted by those licences or by law.

3. Responsible use

You must use MorrowTab lawfully and respect other people's privacy and intellectual property. In particular, you must not:

• Use it to distribute malicious software, infringe rights or carry out unlawful activity.
• Access another person's FixQuotes Sync account or data without permission.
• Interfere with the service, deliberately overload it, or bypass its security or usage limits.

Only add calendar feeds, background images and other content you are authorised to use. Only download recordings when you have the owner's permission or another lawful basis to do so. Access to a recording page does not by itself give you permission to download or share it.

4. Your content and account

You retain any rights you hold in your saved links, boards, calendar addresses and other content. You are responsible for what you save and share. If you choose FixQuotes Sync, you permit us to store, copy and transmit your synced content only as needed to operate, secure and maintain that service, as described in the Privacy Policy. This does not transfer ownership of your content to us.

No MorrowTab account is needed for Browser Sync. If you connect FixQuotes Sync, use an email address you control and keep access to that email and your browser profile secure. Do not share sign-in codes or device credentials. Contact us if you suspect unauthorised access.

5. Storage, sync and backups

Browser Sync is operated by Google or Microsoft. Optional FixQuotes Sync stores a copy of your synced data with FixQuotes. Both have storage and usage limits, described in the manual. Neither is a backup service, and changes or deletions can spread to your other connected computers.

Export backups of important boards through Settings and keep them somewhere safe. MorrowTab does not provide end-to-end encryption; authorised FixQuotes server operators can read data stored in FixQuotes Sync. Backups are readable JSON files. Avoid storing confidential information and protect private calendar feed addresses.

6. Other websites and services

MorrowTab can connect to browser sync providers, search engines, calendar feeds, FixQuotes services, Pexels photos and websites you open or add. Those services may have their own terms and privacy policies. You are responsible for complying with the terms that apply to your use of them. A saved link or displayed item does not imply our endorsement.

We do not control third-party content, availability, accuracy or changes. Calendar feeds can be delayed, and links, quotes, photos or recording downloads may stop working. The Privacy Policy explains the requests MorrowTab makes.

7. Availability and responsibility

We aim to keep MorrowTab useful and reliable, but cannot promise uninterrupted operation, error-free software, compatibility with every future browser, or recovery of every lost item. Except for rights and guarantees required by law, the extension, website and optional services are provided “as is” and “as available”, without additional warranties.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of MorrowTab, such as lost profits or business interruption. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, gross negligence, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited. Your mandatory rights and remedies remain unaffected.

8. Stopping use and account deletion

You can stop using MorrowTab and uninstall it at any time. Signing out or uninstalling does not delete a FixQuotes Sync account or all copies held by other computers or browser sync providers.

To request FixQuotes Sync account deletion, use the FixQuotes contact form (opens in a new tab) and specify “FixQuotes Sync account deletion”. Verification of the account email is required. The Privacy Policy explains deletion and the limitations of recovery-copy retention.

We may restrict or suspend access to FixQuotes Sync when reasonably necessary to address a security risk, unlawful activity or a material breach of these terms. Where reasonably possible and lawful, we will explain the reason and give you an opportunity to resolve the issue and export your data. Contact us if you believe a restriction is mistaken.

9. Changes to MorrowTab or these terms

Features and services may change as browsers and service providers change. If we plan to discontinue FixQuotes Sync or make a change that materially reduces its functionality, we will give reasonable advance notice and an opportunity to export your data, unless an urgent security issue or legal obligation prevents that. Any notice, consent or other protection required by law still applies.

We may update these terms and will change the effective date above when we do. We will bring material changes to your attention through the website, the extension or email where appropriate before they take effect, and seek consent where required. Changes will not apply retroactively or remove rights you already have. If you do not accept a change, you can stop using the affected service and request account deletion.

10. Your rights and contacting us

Nothing in these terms takes away consumer protections, privacy rights or access to courts and other remedies that apply under the law where you live. If a provision cannot be enforced, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
